Get ready to taste the future! Revo Foods, an Austrian company, has just opened The Taste Factory in Vienna, the world’s largest facility for 3D-printed food.

This facility is being utilised to produce a new variety of vegan salmon made from mycoprotein, known as The Filet.
The Filet is now available for purchase in over 1,200 REWE stores across Europe and online. It is designed to mimic the appearance and taste of real salmon and contains omega-3, vitamins B6, B9, and B12, whilst being free from cholesterol, sugar, and gluten.
It has received an “A” rating for its nutritional value.
Earlier this year, Revo Foods won a legal case against the Vienna City Council regarding their pea protein salmon, with the court ruling in favour of Revo Foods.
The Taste Factory has the capacity to produce up to 60 tonnes of this new protein each month, positioning Revo Foods as a significant player in the plant-based food market.
This initiative is part of a broader movement towards creating sustainable food options that can serve as alternatives to traditional meat.
