Cathedral City has launched a new plant-based cheese block in smokey cheddar flavour. This comes after a 65% increase in sales of its vegan cheese range.

The brand is expanding its vegan options to meet the growing demand for smoked cheese.
The smokey cheddar flavour block is made to taste like its dairy version, naturally smoked cheddar, but without any dairy. This makes it a good choice for vegans or those who want dairy-free options.
The plant-based cheese market in the UK is worth £42.2 million, with 8% of households buying these products, showing room for growth. The new smokey cheddar is part of Cathedral City’s plant-based range, which also includes a mature cheddar-style block, grated cheese, and sandwich slices.
Last year, they added spreadable cheese options like spring onion & cracked black pepper too.
You can find the new smokey cheddar available exclusively at Tesco stores for £3.60. It’s one of the best vegan cheeses around. But don’t just take our word for that. We collated the opinions of thousands of British vegans to bring you the ultimate vegan cheese list!
