The Good Pea Company has unveiled a new dairy-free powdered milk under its KWERKY range, addressing the growing demand for plant-based milk alternatives in the United Kingdom.

This launch coincides with the UK market’s position as the second largest in Europe and the fifth globally for dairy-free milk, valued at approximately £550 million.
KWERKY’s powdered milk, crafted from a blend of oat and pea protein, is designed for versatility. It can be mixed with water to create milk, used as a vegan creamer, or added directly to recipes.
Each pouch yields 10 litres of milk, providing a sustainable option with reduced packaging and an extended shelf life compared to traditional plant milk.
The shift towards plant-based milk is driven by health, environmental, and ethical considerations. Consumers are increasingly attracted to the nutritional benefits of plant-based options, which often contain fewer calories and less saturated fat than traditional dairy.
Environmentally, these alternatives have a lower carbon footprint and require fewer resources. Ethically, many consumers are motivated by concerns over animal welfare and the desire to minimise their impact on the dairy industry.
Trends indicate a growing preference for plant-based milk varieties such as oat, soy, and almond. About half of the UK population now incorporates alternative milks into their diets, reflecting a broader movement towards veganism and dairy-free living.

KWERKY’s launch underscores its commitment to innovation and sustainability, aiming to make plant-based living more accessible. As the market for plant-based products continues to expand, KWERKY seeks to lead the way in offering sustainable and health-conscious alternatives to traditional dairy.

Love seeing companies stepping up their game with eco-friendly options! Pea and oat milk powder sounds ace, defs will give it a go. Anyone tried it yet?
Sounds interesting! I’m curious about the protein content compared to regular milk. Got any info on that?
i don’t get why everything has to be turned into powder these days. What’s wrong with good ol’ milk in a carton? seems like a fad to me.
Fantastic to hear about KWERKY’s new plant-based milk powder! I’m always on the lookout for vegan baking ingredients. Excited to try it in my next batch of cupcakes. I wonder how it’ll affect the taste and texture.
Interesting development, but I’m skeptical about the nutrient retention after processing into powder. Does it still hold up against liquid plant milks in terms of vitamins and minerals?
Actually, powdered forms can retain much of the nutrients if properly processed and stored. Though, it’s essential to check individual products for their specific nutritional information.
